I personally know WLT offers a terrific product, I truly do. I apologize for stepping on anyones feet. I've waited a few days to respond because I really am not in the mood to upset any one off here. I spend more time looking at FTT then I should probably admit, and even pass many people on to WLT if they're looking for a product.

I'll tame down my advertising. I understand not everyone can produce a class A product, I just wanted to create a farmers market type platform for tobacco users.

Again, I apologize folks. This thread can be left alone, locked, what ever you folks seem fit.

Very nice site Jeremy. I think it's a wonderful idea to offer a place where people can buy direct from the farmer. Lord knows I looked high and low to find a farmer that has tobacco grown in accordance with my preferences. Finding BigBonner was a dream come true. The added plus is becoming friends with the farmer and having a personal exchange that I believe enhances both the farmer (by knowing the appreciation of his/her efforts) and the buyer (by knowing the love and care that goes into the crop and the appreciation of the farmer for the buyer). Everyone wins when appreciation is shared.


Many many kudos for your enterprising spirit and innovative ideas. Farmer to customer is just about the fairest trade around. Thank you for showing your appreciation for such.

Don is a gracious host and I am not aware of any other business owner who welcomes potential competitors to advertise in their space. I sure would not put out business cards for another Auto Repair Shop on my checkout counter for distribution to MY customers. I wish you the best with your endeavor, it is a good idea. Maybe add a crosslink on your site for WLT; sort of a back scratching thing? Isnt that after all the spirit of "fair trade".

Oh, I think maybe many of us didn't realize this is a business site and a venture to promote more exposure for the independent farmer to consumer is considered a potential competitor.

The forum was originally created as a type of clearing house for growers and buyers to do business. That format never tool off, so adjustment where made and the forum became what the members wanted it to be.

Michibacy was given permission to market tobacco growing supplies. In exchange for a link on his website, he was given a hot linked banner at the top of the Products forum. I don't feel I'm being unreasonable asking he not directly compete with me in tobacco sales on my own site.

Incidentally , there are two forums here that provide for members to both buy and sell. I think offering these forums is very generous to a point of being counterproductive to my own livelihood.
