I have been looking in to all the different ways to flavor and make good old fashioned Chaw, and when I came across the concept of toasting it of course immediately piqued my interest if it would translate well into chew. What do You guys think?

It depends, were you going to toast with a red wine, white wine, or champagne and what is the occasion? ;)

Joking aside, toasting will change the flavor profile of tobacco. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not depending on what you are going for. The beauty is you can try it and figure out what you like. Toasting will give you something similar to making a cavendish for pipe tobacco and can give a different and often interesting flavor profile versus regular air cured tobacco. I've done it in the past, but generally I just use regular air cured tobacco for chew since I add a fair amount of additional flavorings and cook it in the process of making chewing tobacco. There's no right or wrong answer though, experiment with it and see what you like flavor wise. You're the maker and end user, try a few things and see what you like best.
