I want a walk in humidor for christmas, Would that work for keeping tobacco at 13%?..

Chicken has something that comes pretty close! It would blend right into the scenery in East Texas. If you were filthy rich, you could take the wheels off and put skirting on it:)

I'm coming with my hitch an going to steal it! It will fit right in here in WV too think I'll leave the wheels on case I need to make a get away. The beast part is it is useful.

Losing any sugar content from FmGrowit's bright leaf would be a sin. This stuff is absolutely delicious!

I got a tell ya, I never thought I could be converted over to whole leaf, sure am glad Fmgrowit popped in over at that other forum.

Thanks so much for settin' me straight!

A so its it better to store whole leaf and just shred what you will use on a weekly/monthly basis? Since it seems like it would be easier to bring whole lead back into proper case than old pre shredded stuff.

Second, does shredded tobacco age faster due to the increased surface area exposed to air at any given time?

DG. I've seen both methods used in various grow blogs. Chicken shreds his and packs it super tight in gallon glass jars. Boboro stores his leaf whole in beer boxes. Storage space may be the deciding factor for both guys, but I'm just guessing. Boboro has an entire closet set aside for his boxes. Shredded or whole, you just mist the tobacco with water and seal in plastic for a little while and case is brought back up. I've read that dry, dry tobacco stops aging, but Boboro stores his really dry and says it continues mellowing out so it's hard to say who's right , who's wrong, is ther a best way? I think it will all come down to what way works best for your particular situation. You can leave it hanging in your shed if it's out of the way. If your tight for space, shredding and storing takes up less room. Of course your cigar varieties will stay whole but you could destem them first if you wanted. The main thing to avoid is too much moisture and mold.
