I think it looks pretty nice. I don't care to the tassles though. That's probably a SouthWest thing. The important thing is... how's it smoke?
BTW- the engraving on the bowl looks very nice!

The tassles are temps. I am going to engrave the stem and lay abalony in it. The bit was a little bare for My likeing. It is a German bit. So it will lay in well. But not to much as so it won't look out of place. It smokes very well, No gurgles or harsh bumps. This pipe has a shallow well in the bottom and no filter space. It is joined with Bufalo leather and set permanent with the block. Thanks for the complement. Scot

Thank all of You. I think the next one will be a SHIRLOCK. LOL I have two more blocks with beautiful burle and starburst grain. Desertpipe gave Me a very- very good deal on the stem. Under half of what I would have paid any where else. Great Guy. As I said I am far from a pipe maker, Knucks has Mine beat and I can not compete with BigCasino.

That pipe is GORGEOUS, oh please don't remove the tassels, they allow the pipe to lend a very spiritual presence to the Briar, I absolutely love this Churchwarden, job very well done indeed.

I've wanted to make a long stemmed Churchwarden for myself but have never got around to acquiring a stem for it, every one I see pre-formed is simply not right, I may just have to try to find an old Vulcanite stem at some point.

Yes, Chuck is a top bloke, it's thanks to Chuck and a couple of others I was able to get into pipe making in the first place, Chick sent me a partially finished Prince to tidy up not all that long ago and the bug kind of got going from there.

I have two blocks of Briar to work on when I pull up the time. I got them a long time ago from Frank Paxton. I found that when I carve out a blank, It finds it's own style in the makeing. I just let it follow it's end look. I never have an idea on them when I start. Thanks for the complement.

I work the same way with most blocks of Briar, I sit with the block for a good long while allowing a spiritual bonding to take place between the two of us and then allow my hands to follow what the Briar wants to be, sometimes I force a shape from a block when someone asks me to make a particular pipe but it never feels right doing it that way.

I do hope you find the time to work those other blocks you have as I would dearly love to see what other wonders you release from the Briar.

Yes I did.I like the way is is now, Why change something that is fine the way it is. Mad- Thank You for the look.

I'm very pleased you kept the tassels, they really work well on that pipe.

Briar Spirit, I wet the blocks often to see the grains in full glory when I ponder and, Yes- I let the pipe come to be as it wishes to be made. I get the end results of the beauty given to Me in what is to be. My hands let the block gift Me. My Wife asked for a Chick pipe, and I was told to just make Her one. I asked desertpipe for help, due to -I can't see a pipe made that looks Chick made by a Man. Women look hot smoking cigars as She does, And I would love to see Her with Her reques for just that. WOW, what a request. Never seen a hot Chick pipe. On Your reply and how You put the making of a true pipe Sir, I give You honored Rep. Thank You all for looking at My work. Mad-
