Nasal snuff curious

I was chatting with a friend about tobacco and joked about the old images of nasal snuff. He said he had actually ordered some awhile ago and found it quite enjoyable! Now I'm curious to try it, though in Canada you can't just go buy a tin, and of course his tin is long gone up his nose.

I have lots of mixed offcuts from cigar rolling in a bag going to waste. Is it really as simple as just drying out the tobacco, grinding it to a fine powder and hooting it up your nose? And if so, would mixed cigar blends make good snuff or is there a particular style of leaf that should be used?

Thanks Bob, I didn't realise that the wiki had a smokeless section. Looks much like a simple pipe blend with extra stems thrown in. Sounds hard to go wrong if it's forgiving enough to throw stems in.

I suppose without the stems I will have to watch for mine coming out extra strong. Stems usually have low nicotine content, right?
