Thank you! I hadn't found that in my lazy search. Any word on the new supplier?End of the line for Cibao Valley tobaccos
Unfortunately, we've had some serious issues with this supplier and due to our inability to resolve these issues, the Cibao Valley line of tobaccos will be discontinued. If there is anything you like in the line, I'd suggest getting some now because we will not be restocking anything from this...fairtradetobacco.com
Good luck..Well, It's a long story, and I can't share everything...yet.
My last deal with the CV grower was a disaster. I could have pursued legal action, but international law suits are expensive and the outcome (regardless of evidence) is very risky, so I just bit the bullet and took an enormous loss. Another supplier who I've used for many years has developed an uncontrollable tobacco beetle infestation. Everything we purchased from them had to be frozen, and then we had to go through everything to remove the severely damaged leaves. I've been searching for new suppliers for quite a while.
About a year and a half ago, I became the majority shareholder in a cigar company. After tens of thousands of dollars in attorney's fees and endless filings with the TTB, we were finally awarded our TTB permit to import cigars and processed tobacco. This permit has enabled me to do business with a couple of the premier tobacco growers and suppliers in the western hemisphere. We received our first shipment of cigar tobacco last week, and there wasn't a single beetle to be found. Between the two new suppliers, I think you guys are going to find this to be the finest cigar tobacco you've ever used. Almost all of the tobaccos are from Ecuador, The Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua.

The cost of shipping cigar molds is more than 50% of cost of the molds themselves. I will not participate in this extortion plot. The shipping couriers can starve before I pay 500% more than I was paying 3 - 4 years ago for shipping. If I can find any wood molds stateside, I'll get them, but most large US cigar factories are long gone.
