I posted a reference to this in another thread, but I thought it deserves it's own thread.
These are pictures of Cuban farmers harvesting tobacco. You'll see the leaf appears to be what I would consider to be immature. I believe harvesting the leaf at this age is the key to a mild cigar. I don't know what type of tobacco this is, but my guess is it's a wrapper.

Notice there is no yellow in the leaf. There is no alligatoring of the leaf surface either.

Sun Curing?

Very small almost immature looking plants. This could be due to poor soil conditions, but we've always known the best tobacco is grown in poor soil.
