My garden is ready, pretty much. I spaded, and turned in 225lbs of alfalfa pellets, and planted my garlic.
So I heard this year about someone who plants their green leafy vegetables and carrots in late fall. We're in central Alberta zone 3/4. They sprout in spring. I assume success depends on the seeds not germinating before winter freeze.
I thought I would try a few veggies with old seed I had kicking around: beets, lettuce, cilantro, dill, peas.
Does anyone have experience with this technique?
