Plants to repel insects

This could be quite beneficial to us growing our own tobacco. Marigolds, for example repel aphids, as does catnip! Other plants like basil, sage, and citronus keep mosquitos away!

Yes, I've tried these, variable success !
But tobacco is such a huge attraction for insects, that veggies (tomatoes, spinach, etc) can be planted adjacent to tobacco and will be ignored by insects.
