@deluxestogie do you have any experience kilning tobacco (mine would be shredded) in sealed mason jars? By sealed I mean a hand tightened ring and lid, not vacuum sealed. Would this be a practical way to kiln? I know it is somewhat inefficient as far as space is concerned but I was going to try and throw a few jars in my kiln along with the other stuff but wasn’t going to waste the space if somebody already knows it does not work or is a bad idea for any reason (anybody is welcome to answer I just figured bob had the best chance of being a person who had already tried this!) thank you!
Good question, from Bobs answer 50°C (122°F) seem to be a good minimum temp for the jars in combination with venting the jars now and when to let gas out but what max temp?
I think I want my tobacco as close as fire cured as possible.

For kilning, I suggest a maximum temperature of 128°F. Fire-curing requires smoke.

Ok then 122-128°F (50-53.3°C) seem to be good.
Too hot for mold to grow but not too hot for tobacco.
Will it be nicely cured?
