remove stems and veins?

you have to separate the stems and veins from the raw tobacco leaves for snuff and dip! (Even the side veins)! What is the quickest way to cut off the thin side veins? Cutting off the main vein is no problem. But removing the side veins is really very time-consuming! Do you have a special trick for this? And what is the best way to do it?

the middle ribs are no problem! But the side ribs are not easy to remove! Or is that not done for snus and dip? So just the main ribs? The tobacco gets stronger if I remove the ribs! Should I remove all the ribs for snus and dip? I know that you don't have to! But if a recipe says to remove the ribs, does that mean all the ribs or just the main rib?

Never heard of anyone removing the side veins. Sounds like more work than it’s worth, once the leaves are color cured and ground I don’t think you’d notice the difference.

These are different stages of midrib that will eventually end up, in the toasted dry snuffs that I prefer. All three examples started out as midrib.

I like dry snuff, and I can not get enouf midrib for my nasal snuff, so if you don't keep your mid rib from whole leaf purchases can I have it?
If you don’t mind me asking what is the reason people prefer midrib for dry snuff? Can u still make a dry snuff with the entire leaf? I’m just trying to absorb some snuff knowledge because I want to try making some with the lemon rustica you sent me eventually but I think a very fine dry toasted snuff sounds good but I haven’t tried snuff yet so I don’t really know what I like

I’m just trying to absorb some snuff knowledge because I want to try making some with the lemon rustica you sent me eventually but I think a very fine dry toasted snuff sounds good but I haven’t tried snuff yet so I don’t really know what I like

I ran across this beginners guide to snuff

It says on that link that they make their snuff with ground leaf im not sure if that means the entire leaf or the midrib removed. I’m wondering if there’s any other reason for making snuff purely out of midrib other than the cost and not wasting tobacco? I’ve seen people saying that snuff is made out of strictly midrib but then I also see higher quality snuffs like Wilson’s of Sharrows using the leaf im just trying to figure out if there is any other advantage to using just midrib other than cost and availability are there other properties that make it particularly better suited for dry snuffs vs moist?
