wife and I been riding past a thrift store about a 30 minute ride from home. Each time we go by it's closed . Today just happened to be a nice day to take the new scoot out for a spin and so I headed out there and stopped in to see what they had to offer this cheap (ok, actually I prefer the term "frugal" but i'm not splitting hairs here )Slovak. I notice it is called Caring Hands and I gather it is a religious type of thrift store aimed at aiding the needy . I wander around a bit and here not far from the front door is an actual working Daisy Seal-A-Meal sealer unit I can use to seal up the vapor proof bags...the tag reads $6.50 .I asked the lady to plug it in to make sure it works , and it does. I move on and find in a small box of kitchen items a nicely "patina'ed" Slovak Army knife which is for you non-Slovaks out there - can opener, bottle opener and corkscrew...$1 . Thats a gimme . I head in the back and see whats back there and if I were a couple sizes skinnier ,I'd have had myself a rather nifty and not out of date grey lightly pinstriped 3 piece suit for $15...had to pass. So, up front to pay I go and the lady at the counter looks at the heat sealing unit and says oh you have an item that has a cord , those are 50% off,our policy that will be only $3.25. So, I walked out of there only paying (tax included) $4.60 and I don't have to use the wifes flat hair iron the seal my bags anymore...
and it was a realllly nice ride too.
