Storage and carrying tobacco

What are some ways to keep, store, transport, preserve my chew after making it? I've heard people using zip lock bags and of glass jars...any personal favorites y'all can share? Thanks!!

I just use the snack size zip lock bags for on the go, or jars for storing it in the fridge (just to be safe). I have tried making aluminum foil pouches but they put a strange taste on the baccy.

I really like these. They are small but fit in the pocket real well. They sell a bigger one but it is too large for pocket carry. They are Stainless Steel so the metal does not interact with the chew. You could also just get some used chew containers.

I just sew together a little braintanned buckskin with a flap and a holder for my papers. Lasts forever and washable. Sucseptable to dry or humid conditions.

I bet a nut sack wuld make a good chaw sack.

Buffalo "coin purse"? I've heard of it for pipe and cig baccy, might work for chew... If you made plug you could just saran wrap a piece and throw it in yer pocket. I just use old skoal tins.

That brings up lots of questions, Boboro. For instance how many pounds of tobacco will a bull's scrotum hold? Does it matter if it is brain or sperm tanned?

Pipe tobacco users carry a pouch. It may be a little bigger than needed for your use. You can also use tobacco tins or sweets tin like Altoids tin as johnlee suggested.
