WLT order rejected / refunded

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. My latest order from WLT was refunded due to the AZ tobacco laws regarding online purchasing.
It looks as though I'll have to get a little more "creative" to obtain my whole leaf.
Although, the law states that pipe tobacco and cigars are exempt so I'm sure some folks will be willing to ship to me in packages that are not so well labeled.

Is this a tax thing (keeping tax within the state) or are there other things at play?

Reading the Wikipedia page on US smoking bans is surprising:
"

I agree with restrictions in workplaces and bars (although I do miss smoking in a bar) although, wow.

It's keeping the revenue in state but also part of the larger "Nanny State" that the USA is becoming.
This is, however, exactly why I began learning about growing my own several years ago!

Also, a quick google search told me American's pay, on average, $5.41US for a pack of 20's...

We pay $17US a pack of 20's, just for the cheap brands...

Agreed ... that's why I stockpiled pipe tobacco and will never run out.

However, I was a little later to the whole leaf game but will make my next couple of orders count.

That's not a bad idea but I'm not very near the border. (about 240 miles one way)
It would be easier to just have it delivered to Illinois or Colorado where I have family and have them forward it to me.

If even a few of the creators/supporters of these laws could/would bother to read some history, we might not need to find out again that prohibition can bring an unintended reality.

It figures they would eventually pull this. I just wish they would've waited until next month, I could've put in a big order.

I will not exert energy fighting a faceless, well-funded beast. It's not the first time in my life that I've had to skirt the laws to get what I want. (30 years now for my other "smokes") It also now nudges me further into growing my own as well!
