Flue-cured tobacco is cured in kilns or barns. This method is essentially heat-curing the tobacco without exposing it to any smoke, with a slow increase of temperature over the course of curing. Time spent flue-curing varies greatly. This method delivers tobacco high in sugar with medium to high levels of nicotine. Resulting tobacco is milder, with a smoke that is easier to inhale.
