Just outstanding. I am using this as an adjunct blended with OHM extra bold for RYOs. This tobacco arrived in superb condition with a wonderful aroma with adequate moisture to allow easy stripping and processing with my small shredder. My shredder makes a nice 1mm shag which I then cross-cut into the OHM extra bold. Smoked by itself this burley is a good strong hit and while I can hack it that way I prefer to blend it with the OHM to get just the balance between strong and mellow I am looking for in a cigarette. If you are looking to juice up your RYOs with a bit more of an aggressive hit without going overboard on the face shot I recommend working up a blend to include this fine tobacco. After trying a burley from another online merchant and being nothing but disappointed (the stuff smelled like silage and tasted nasty) I am delighted to have found this tobacco! Thanks, Whole Leaf Tobacco!

Very pleasantly surprised by this burley. I expected it to be very strong and have a hard bite. It is quite smooth and flavorful with a very pleasant pouch aroma. It is actually mellow and flavorful enough to smoke straight! Certainly a top shelf tobacco and I hope this is something they will keep in stock as I will most definitely be buying more!

I am very happy I got these burley tips. The leaf was in great shape. Very well done and super easy to remove the stem. It’s actually quite strong. Has a taste that is sweet and slightly pungent. Blended at a low ratio(20%) with the Virginia leaf, gave it a huge nicotine boost without messing up the taste. Doesn’t smell different when it burns. I am a beginner at this time but I am using this to add nicotine more than taste and it does that quite well.

To be fair I have not consumed this leaf yet which I bought to make smokeless dip. But I wanted to remember to review the product before I forget. I have more experience rolling my own cigars so that being said I amazed at the quality and condition this Burley is in when I started shredding for dip. Almost felt bad for shredding what would be considered wrapper grade in my garden! Looking forward to the final product.

Follow up review. I feel like I have to update my initial review. As accurate as it was I have had plenty of time to figure out how to blend this and how to use it properly. When mixed with Virginia tobacco it adds a whole new dimension of flavours. I’ve had the red burley tips for a few months and they seem to be getting better as they dry out. I keep them in their original bag, nothing fancy. I used to blend it with Virginia and dark air cured but recently did red, bright and lemon Virginia with 10% of these red burley tips only. Great smoke. Nicotine content is absolutely way high on the scale and actually adds a massive amount even at low ratios. A pound lasts me a long time because a little goes a long way but I would definitely buy this again down the road.
