Actually not too different than mine We're just having better weather this winter than usual. You have some varieties there I haven't read up on! You'll have to tell me how the Brown and Williams variety works. I suppose as a filler? Wrapper?

I'll do trays for the fall. This winter has been a bad pain year for me, don't want to get into details on a public forum, but let's just say I do better when it warms up. Somehow I need to get these tangled messes a hair cut, then into the ground sometime soon. I'm picking up a bit this week (85* out this week), so I'll be able to tend to this. ANY pointers would be helpful! My backups are in the other tray that I didn't take pictures of this week.

If you have trouble with tangled roots, you can set the soil wad in some water and separate the seedlings gently. This will leave them bare root, but undamaged.

That works and you can even leave them floating a few days before transplant. The bigger they are the more tangled they get.

I worked on the Brazil Bahia plants, and no, the roots weren't tangled, just straight down to the bottom of the cup. Last year, the roots didn't do that, because I was over-watering them. They were more of a ball.

Had a bunch of Dr's appointments already this week, so I'll try and start doing this tomorrow. The plants are much much bigger already, it must be this AZ sun. I did get some Brazil Bahia and Habano Colorado in the dirt already, they are perking up. More to follow.
