I think you need to override your wife ...telling you what you can and can't plant...and if you want to I'd till up the whole yard..and grow bacca in her flower garden...

Some women think they wear the pants...my woman knows she wears the skirt and I wear work boots....

While your at it..why not fly a confederate flag in the front yard (as I do)...

Lol..that may sound good..but not a wise thing to do

My wording was definitely not the best choice, especially since I can grow what I want, but take her into high consideration, since it's her yard too.

Everything is sprouting, and can't find my camera!!! Beautiful weather we're having in the *70's right now! Now, to find that camera!
Send it east Dave...we're on the beginning of a long week of single digit temps with some single minus digit night temps. Oh how I envy you right now.

Actually not too different than mine :) We're just having better weather this winter than usual. You have some varieties there I haven't read up on! You'll have to tell me how the Brown and Williams variety works. I suppose as a filler? Wrapper?

Are those the leftovers after transplanting to trays?

I'll do trays for the fall. This winter has been a bad pain year for me, don't want to get into details on a public forum, but let's just say I do better when it warms up. Somehow I need to get these tangled messes a hair cut, then into the ground sometime soon. I'm picking up a bit this week (85* out this week), so I'll be able to tend to this. ANY pointers would be helpful! My backups are in the other tray that I didn't take pictures of this week.

If you have trouble with tangled roots, you can set the soil wad in some water and separate the seedlings gently. This will leave them bare root, but undamaged.

That works and you can even leave them floating a few days before transplant. The bigger they are the more tangled they get.

I will do that! Thank you Knucks!

I worked on the Brazil Bahia plants, and no, the roots weren't tangled, just straight down to the bottom of the cup. Last year, the roots didn't do that, because I was over-watering them. They were more of a ball.

Had a bunch of Dr's appointments already this week, so I'll try and start doing this tomorrow. The plants are much much bigger already, it must be this AZ sun. I did get some Brazil Bahia and Habano Colorado in the dirt already, they are perking up. More to follow.
