I found that by using a fan that intended for a humid environment—a "bathroom" fan—I see a longer life.

I want one of, can you recommend a model?
Do you mean inline fans for bathrooms?
I have one of them as extraction fan and it seem to be better quality but I want a good circulation fan also.

The new humidifier is awesome.
At 68% the inkbird hygrostat switches off the humidifier and when electricity is back I have an automation programmed to switch the humidifier back on. These smart devices are very cool.

EDIT:
If the relative humidity is limited to below 70%, then there is no advantage to using a bathroom fan.
Yes, my hopes with the new automated humidifier setup is to limit the humidity to 68%, mostly to prolong the life of the fan.
With the old humidifier the humidity did sometimes go above 80% and I think that killed the cheapo fan.
