Yes. You have to find the ones you like. The Vera Cruz Nocturne imparts a very little almost spice taste. Very slight, but I love it as a change of pace smoke. The Gamblers and the Midnight don't seem to impart a taste to me, but I think they just impart a taste that I'm used to, like the Marlboros and Pall Mall's I used to smoke, so if you smoked a different brand before, they might taste different to you. I think different tubes taste different to people depending on what you are used to. I can't really taste a Zen tube, but I can taste a Zig Zag. Don prefers the Zig Zag. You just have to experiment. I've never gotten any tubes that were hard to stuff, you just have to find the one that tastes best to you, and I think alot of that depends on what you used to smoke or what you've gotten used to.

tried the VC they taste good almost like a cinnamon spice to it. I have been smoking buglar for about a month havent tried any others yet. both are totally different and better than the commercial alternatives.

Hey Mike. Yeah, I think it's pretty neat to have two or three different tubes with slightly different flavors to swap around with your mood. I can keep my same tobacco blend and just swap to a different tube if i want something a little different. It's alot easier than having different blends stocked up. I like the VC Nocturne with coffee. You should give the VC Midnights a try. Sooner or later someone asks about the black tubes and I get to talk whole leaf tobacco for awhile.

They impart very little flavor. It's hard for me to tell them from the Gambler. Both taste similar to the tubes on Marlboro and Pall Malls. I like the visual appeal on occasions. It's a good way to turn the conversation to RYO and Grow your Own, because somebody is bound to ask about them.

I use the Powermatic manual and love it. the handle works like the old adding machines or a slot machine. check them out before you buy anything. Don sells them. Order a crap load of Nicaraguan filler and Maduro wrapper and he'll probably combine shipping. lol

Yeah I just had a look..they do look good...tye reason I ask specifically about the premiere and topomatic is th3res a couple on a trade site over here going for $40nz ($30aprox usd) for the prem.&$35nzd ($28usd aprox.) Not sure what they usually go for or which is best...I dont want to pay too much..the most accessible tubes go for about $8nzd per 200 box tubes!!!I know if I import one from over there or elsewhere. .it would end up well over $100nzd?

Can't tell you. Went straight from cheap slide stuffer to the powermatic2. Savings paid for it in a month vs commercial cigs and it is a joy to use. Can do a day worth of smokes for me and the wife in about 15 minutes. 2.5 packs.

I use the prem 2 doesnt have the switch on the side paid about 40 bucks for it. It does the job well but thinking about upgrading to either the one knucks uses or maybe the electric version.powermatic 1 or 2 both sold by Don.

Chicken and I had a conversation about this the other day and he swears by the electric one. What's a ballpark price for it?

Bought mine local for $95. Can be had a little cheaper online. So glad I did not cheap out and get the manual one.
