All of the bottom yellowed ones are the original leaves that where damaged by hail. Most of their stems and or leafs themselves were cracked they didn't really die but they didn't grow either, now their starting to die off. Had a very rough year up until 3-4 weeks ago.
If they yellowed before topping, they will be pretty weak in nicotine, but might be worth saving (separate), for the flavor they might have.

Oh those are just tiny shit leaves from when they were in trays About a inch large, they will not be used for anything. They've just clung on for dear life, regardless they are of no concern no worries.

neem oil ok for seedlings?
I don't know dude I'm just documenting my grow here you can ask your questions elsewhere, would be a lot more use to you. I have no idea what im doing, BUT. Your plants are just seedlings you're worrying to much about things right now, all they need is light and consistent waterings right now.

Many have REALLY taken off, giving me hope it wasn't all wasted time. It may be a small harvest but it'll be better than nothing. Roughly a month or so before frost starts to be a thing.
Trying to keep up with flowers and suckers, focusing on all of the healthiest, many I don't think there's hope

Question for anyone who may see.
So fall is approaching, and is basically here.
How cold is to cold for the rustica plants? I read on the site I got the seeds from it says it's very cold tolerant but what does that mean? I get so many mixed messages on Google, I live in Canada, so when I say "get cold" in fall, i am basically asking how close to frost can I go? I'm going to want to try to give them as much time as possible but I don't wanna leave them out and have them wilted away one night because of frost or what ever.
Thanks.
Weekly update late hopefully later today

Doing okay.
Glad to see at least 10 of them will mature in time. We'll see if any others have a growth spurt in next couple weeks.
Anyone know cold is to cold for these guys? How far I should push them to frost.
If I can just get a lb or so of tobacco flour I'll be a very happy boy!

Some doing good, the largest plants leafs are a good 5 - 6 inches or so. Many have started to take off we'll have to wait and see how far they can get ! Suckered them ALL, even all the little ones, hopefully encourages them to grow out a bit. Like playing bloody wacka mole!
Definitely underestimated the shade once the trees grew in. A lot of them are only starting to get sun now as the sun is moving a bit. Note to self - they have great hatred for shade
Out of the 70 ish I planted I'll have at least 10 ok ones. Maybe even more! I am not sure I'll be growing here again though way to much shade.

Edit / add: chewed some sucker leafs for shits n giggles, felt nothing for a long time then hit me like a brick wall. Felt like I smoked 3 cigarettes in one inhale

Do their nutrient needs change like marijuana - too a blooming nutrient or just keep doing what I have been? They are all a good color don't seem to be deficient in anything, but will it help growth?

If you are expecting to harvest any leaf prior to first frost, then I would suggest stopping any fertilizer.

Bob
One question if I may.
How long do I have to leave seed pods on the plant, or can I once the flower is gone pop it off and allow it to dry?
