The spider looks like a green bat. We have cicada wasp here. they look more like a yellow jacket in color, but very large. Never had a problem with them. Not even the fear of a sting. Mad-

....that seems to make it's presence known every day, almost.

It actually shimmers in sunlight, with a little purple and of course black. I see out state isn't listed, but we are close to northern Mexico.

We have the same ones here, We call them mud dobbers. They make nests using mud. The wings never stop flutering after they land.

Probably same species, but no yellow on the legs here. I did notice that there's an Organ Cactus one in the same family, but haven't seen those here, maybe out in the desert though. They tend to be smaller than these. Good thing is, they never bother me.

The spiders eat the bad insects, so although they're ugly, they do serve their purpose? Glad you got your seeds!
