I will grow it out, see the flower color, etc. I do believe there is something different about the Thuoc Lao tobacco after watching many videos of people in Vietnam getting obvious and powerful nicotine rushes which I would doubt comes from just a Virginia, Burley, etc. I think the question about varying levels of MAOIs is valid, but the information seems to be limited. We will find the truth one way or another!

They have germinated! I will be interested in seeing what they yield. I agree, very dubious supplier but they claim they are imported directly from vietnam!

Khaibong sent me a PM that had the overview on how Thuoc Lao is processed, but all the Korean translators I tried did not yield any comprehensive understanding. If there are any other Korean speaking members please contact me and let's see what we can manage to translate!

Have you tried the Google Chrome browser? It has automatic translation. It does pretty well with the Portugese and Spanish Tobacco forums.

Interesting looking leaves. They look more like One Sucker than any kind of Rustica I've seen.

The leaves look like Bosikappal, which is a primitive tobaccum type from India. But it looks like a much more developed plant than Bosikappal is. It doesn't look at all like a Rustica to me.

I agree too, it is some type of tabacum, but it does have a similar resemblance to boskkipal. What are those mats covering the plants?
