Ecuador Dark Binder

Ecuador Dark Binder is a broadleaf variety, 18″ x 9″ in size. The leaf is medium thick and leathery, with a bold spicy front note and a coffee background. Because of its thickness, it is easier to work with than the Sumatra. Even though the leaf is sent in perfect order (condition) for long-term storage without damage, it will need to be hydrated before use as a binder or wrapper.

Additional flavor notes known are cedar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chocolate with no noticeable black pepper, indicating a properly cured and fermented leaf. The lingering aftertaste is pleasant.
