Great progress, its nice to see this documented so well, I've never seen tobacco grown indoors but it looks like you are doing it hahaha.

You probably have another month left given lots of tobacco ripens around 60 days. How cramped in are your plants? Would you change the number you grow next time based on your experiences?

Thanks for sharing your grow! I hope to one day make some snus from home grown so it's nice to watch your experiences.

The plants are crammed in there.

I think the lowest leaf is ready for harvest!

I hope the plants will mature 25% faster than at 18 hour lights ON & 6 hours lights OFF cause I have the lights on 24/7.
It would make sense that 25% more energy equals 25% faster growth.
I am a firm believer that C3 plants grow faster with more light but who knows, some believe plants need to rest or do something important in darkness, I think they are just bored in darkness and I want my plants to be happy all the time.

I don't think I will change the amounts of plants for next grow cause I like the setup and I don't want to buy new pots. I will try to grow seeds from this grow and breed the plants to fit my way of growing. I may tweak ventilation or something, maybe I will get another tent so I can grow some herbs and vegetables also.

A plant that matures in 60 days at 18 hours light should mature in 45 days at 24 hours light.

60×18=1080
45×24=1080

They both recieve 1080 hours of light at 45 days and 60 days.
day 67-77/-82°F
night 55-60/-65°F
RH 50-70%

Welcome to my grow blog!
50-70% relative humidity looks good!
No, no, I have no desire to interfere with you.The photos are shown so that you can compare the energy and time of growth, the dates in the lower right corner.

There are 25 days between the first and second photo, the leaves look very significant and there are no signs of peduncles, while the temperature:day 67-77°F,night 55-60°F, not too comfortable for growth, especially at night.

And looking at your photo (Sunday 19.32), there are no more main peduncles, secondary axillary shoots have already grown and removed, this happened 30 days after transplanting into larger containers.

Your Indoor grow tent looks great, it is clear by the size and color of the leaves that the temperature-humidity-nutrition-light spectrum are excellent. But light 24/7 is questionable, it is not natural for photosynthesis, the light and dark phases have been formed for thousands of years.

Your plants overworked 24/7, got stressed, offended and decided that it was time to multiply by showing a peduncle.
There are 22 days between my second and third photo, temperatures:day to 82°F, night to 65°F, plant height 6-7 feet with peduncles, and a bunch of leaves. My plants don't take offense at me, which is confirmed by the fourth photo.

Bob!!! You are my teacher! I will introduce myself in March, there is something to show.

Ok thanks, I understand. Your grow looks great.
What variety is it you grow?

It is natural for plants to grow without darkness in the north.
People grow all kinds of plants in the north and no one thinks about it, C3 plants don't need darkness, some need it to flower.
I do not think the plants are stressed cause they have light all the time, I think they grow faster and mature faster, therefore flower earlier cause the plant is mature earlier.

A 24 hour light cycle is natural within the arctic circle, that is parts of US, Canada, Greenland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
Within the arctic circle the sun is allways high in the sky during the summer, it is beautiful and plants love it. Even a bit south of the arctic circle the sky is lit during the nights and darkness don't exist during the summer.

Ed Rosenthal, an american horticulturalist and writer of several cannabis grow books states this in his book Marijuana Growers Handbook:
"For fastest growth, the plants should receive 24 hours of light a day."

Ed Rosenthal also states the following:

"There are five factors that can promote or limit plant growth. Each may be a weak link in a chain and the plant can grow no faster than the weakest link allows. Light, C02, temperature, nutrients, and water are all needed by the plant for it to carry on its life processes. In an indoor environment, it is up to the gardener to make sure that all of these conditions are met adequately so that the plant can grow as quickly and healthily as possible."

I saved this one to see if it will grow new shoots and give me seeds. Look at the roots coming out of the soil!

I have a long grow season and regrew a crop from suckers last year. Prilep 66-9/7. I allowed the bottom sucker to grow into a new stalk and picked off any new suckers appearing along the new stalk. You can see the original stalk on some of the plants in the photo. Worked really well and managed two crops from one planting.
