I may be mistaken, my growing experience is limited to tobacco. Do the Nicotianas have a high number of freaks compared to other domesticated plants?
this summer i have to take a closer look at some of my plants and see if the capsules are that hairy. i guess i am not very observant while working in the garden. those plants look sticky, are they?

So I believe this is the button stage of the N. cordifolia. It's developing very slowly but I'm hoping it will flower soon-ish.

I was pulling leaves off plants to help with watering and discovered that both the N. otophora (above) and the N. tomentosa (below) like to produce ground suckers even before the main stalk flowers

But do you see that little plantlet off to the side? Seed contamination you say?

Apparently not. The N. tomentosa are forming plantlets off their exposed roots! It's the damnedest thing I've ever seen!
I just took some pics today to show how big everything is getting. I'll try to get them up soon, maybe tomorrow...
i like computers when they work rite. i hope you have luck with the changes. they usually get the problems straitened out before they change something else.ugh... google drive made some changes and now I can see it zipping my files to download and then im not sure what happens... because it looks like nothing happens. sorry for the delay. i'll have to remember to bring my transfer cable to work now...
