This Canadian Lemon is hand-harvested and is everything you’ve come to expect from our traditional Lemon. The leaf is in good condition, so stripping and shredding should be fairly easy.

Description
This is a beautiful hand-harvested mellow Flue Cured Virginia leaf with subtle notes of citrus and dried fruit. This tobacco is traditionally used in Canadian, English and American style cigarette blends.
This tobacco is excellent on its own or paired with others, we recommend the Virginia Red Leaf with a hint of Turkish/Oriental to create a pleasant yet flavorful cigarette blend. Lemon is also common in Pipe Tobacco Blends.
Lemon is harvested “pulled” from the second stalk position and possesses a slightly heavier body than cutters with excellent burn quality and moderate flavor qualities.
Whole Leaf Tobacco has this leaf properly dried to eliminate sugar decomposition and slightly re-hydrated shortly before packaging. Rest assured your tobacco will be delivered ready to shred.
Lemon can also be prepared for Shisha/Hookah production with minimal effort. Follow these instructions for Hookah preparation. The result of using Virginia Lemon for Shisha/Hookah will give you a traditional hookah tobacco that offers a medium tobacco flavor.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been reviewed yet: really beautiful, perfect case right out of the pack. I smell major orange peel, minor lime zest and tea teaming up with classic virginia in the bag. Smokes equally as complex. Highly recommended.

This is a gorgeous ‘blonde’ leaf tobacco worthy of your best cigarette blends.
Leaves come carefully folded and vacuum packed.
Open at the ‘STEM-end’ of the pack with scissors as close to the seal as possible — you want a nice plastic flap to fold back over.
Please don’t try to just rip a few leaves from the bundle. Here is what I do:
* Once opened, gently pull the entire bundle of leaves out.
* These are wonderful long leaves, and the bundle is folded about four inches from the top point.
* Face the bundle on your lap with the point of the bundle pointing AWAY from you — this is the BOTTOM of the leaves.
* Gently pull the top FOLD away from you (now you are looking at the full length of the leaves, stem to your tummy, top leaf point now folded away from you).
* I like to start from the left, but about mid-left. Give a pull and try to draw a small bunch of leaves out of the bundle, pulling again to the left.
* Ya got some! Put these aside, and repeat. Start with a small amount 1/4 – 1/3 of the total bundle.
* With your working batch now pulled out and set aside, gently refold the top point of the bundle. REPLACE it in plastic carrier again with stems sticking out the open portion of the bag. Slide it down, fold over the end, put the bag back in your storage place.
You have your pulled out leaves — now you are ready to work the tobacco — treat it like you are a promising young chef, seeking a great new recipe.
A few more points:
* Take ONE leaf out of your working pile. Fully unfold it, and admire.
To prep:
* Run your fingers up the leaf, following the center spine, toward the tip. There is a point about four inches from the top where the thickness of the spine wanes.
* Now fold the leaf, grab the spine with one hand, the two outer edges with the other hand, gentle pull out the spine. Stop when the leaf starts to split, then re-position hands, and continue to pull out the spine.
* You will now have two very nice leave halves.

Steve you make it too complicated. Just pull the stem through between your thumb and index finger. Don’t worry about perfection if you are just going to cut cigarette tobacco. And I’m pretty sure “lemon” is a color reference, don’t expect any citrus notes. By itself this is too light for my taste, you will be tempted to cut the filters off if you make cigs with just the lemon virginia, I mix this with the “Virginia Blend” and the end result is a very nice Canadian like cigarette.

I have been smoking Canadian since 13 and I have to say this tobacco has all the taste and none of the nasty after taste of commercial tobacco. Amazing leaf. Has a nice malt smell. When I opened the bag I was amazed at how good it smelled and the leaves were in almost perfect shape. Was easy to remove the stems, shred and smoke. It’s that good, mixed very well with red Virginia and a dash of burley.

Here I am just received Lemon Virginia for the second time, it’s a coincidence but exactly one year later after buying it for the first time. Same quality large yellow leaves with a dark mid rib. Easy to strip and burns very well, it’s a good filler for Burley/fire cure heavy blends.

I’ll be ordering my next pound soon. I use this for pipe smoking. My last batch wasn’t as easy to thresh. The mid ribs were too dry and kept breaking. I recommend watching out for that and hydrate the leaves accordingly. Straight from bag and no casings added, it starts off as sweet hay with a bit of that grassy funk but turns into a almost honey sweetness with a lot of citrus and tea notes. I cook mine in a instant pot to make black stoved virginia. It becomes very similar to Rattrays or McClelland black virginia with alot of tartness. It’s a great leaf to work with.
